Complex Commercial Litigation Associate – Miami, Florida

A highly regarded Miami law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with three to seven years of complex commercial litigation experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent judgment, initiative, and the ability to take meaningful ownership of cases and move matters forward efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Manage and advance complex commercial litigation matters
\n
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other legal documents
\n
• Conduct legal research and contribute to case strategy
\n
• Manage discovery and prepare for depositions, hearings, arbitrations, and trials
\n
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams
\n
• Handle assignments independently while collaborating with partners and colleagues
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
\n
• Active member in good standing of The Florida Bar
\n
• Three to seven years of complex commercial litigation experience
\n
• Strong preference for attorneys in their fourth through seventh year who can manage cases with minimal supervision
\n
• Experience practicing in Florida state court, federal court, and arbitration strongly preferred
\n
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and organizational skills
\n
• Strong judgment, responsiveness, and work ethic
\n
• Smart, driven, collaborative, and prepared to take an active role in ongoing matters
\n
• Based in or willing to relocate to the Miami area
\n
