Workday Compensation Analyst / Consultant

Location: Remote – candidates may reside anywhere in the U.S. except CA, NY, AK, or HI

Type: Contract-to-Hire

Hourly Rate: $65.00 W2; Benefits Eligible

We are seeking an experienced Workday Compensation professional to support the configuration, administration, enhancement, and ongoing optimization of Workday Compensation and Advanced Compensation.

This position requires hands-on Workday Compensation module experience . The ideal candidate can work directly with HR and business stakeholders, understand compensation requirements, recommend Workday best practices, and translate those requirements into effective system configurations.

What You'll Do

• Configure, administer, and enhance Workday Compensation and Advanced Compensation
• Serve as a Workday Compensation subject matter expert for HR and business stakeholders
• Provide consulting and best-practice recommendations for compensation-related requests
• Gather business requirements and translate them into functional and technical solutions
• Manage Workday configuration changes, enhancements, and prioritization
• Troubleshoot system issues and perform root cause analysis
• Provide solution options and effort estimates for enhancements and issues
• Perform data analysis, validation, and testing across HR systems and processes
• Support system stability, performance, and data integrity
• Partner with vendors and serve as a Designated Service Contact (DSC)
• Coordinate vendor resolutions and product enhancements
• Identify process gaps and opportunities for improvement
• Contribute to product feature prioritization and HR technology roadmaps
• Support system architecture and design discussions
• Manage small to medium initiatives independently and contribute to moderate-to-complex projects

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Strong hands-on experience with Workday Compensation
• Strong experience with Workday Advanced Compensation
• Experience configuring Workday or comparable HR applications
• Experience supporting and enhancing cloud-based HR technology
• Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into system solutions
• Experience consulting with HR and business stakeholders
• Experience troubleshooting complex application and configuration issues
• Experience managing system change requests and configuration priorities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and deadlines
• Experience managing moderate-to-complex projects

Education / Experience

Candidates should meet one of the following:

• Bachelor's degree plus 4+ years of experience in HR, IT, or cloud-based solutions
• Technical certification and/or college coursework plus 6+ years of relevant experience
• 8+ years of relevant HR, IT, or cloud-based solutions experience

Ideal Background

We're particularly interested in candidates who have been responsible for Workday Compensation configuration and ongoing production support , rather than candidates whose Workday experience is limited to using the system as an HR or compensation end user.
